The game includes 10 distinct battle maps, but you can create your own custom map using preset tools and share them with other players. In addition to the single-player campaign, Killzone Shadow Fall also includes competitive online multiplayer where you test your accuracy against other players around the world. With its rich sci-fi setting and cool weapon design, there's a lot to like about this notably realistic yet smartly futuristic world. Armed with a variety of weapons, including old favorites like the M82 assault rifle and new guns like the OWL attack drone, you must clear 10 unique story chapters by completing objectives and defeating every enemy soldier. As expected, this shooter plays from a first-person perspective, but offers a more open-world experience than any of its predecessors. Killzone Shadow Fall combines both the familiar gameplay and visual design of previous games like Killzone and Killzone 2 while also raising the stakes with better graphics, new weapons, and more modes.
As the ruthless Helghan leader Stahl plans a massive attack on the Vektans, it's up to Kellan to stop the chaos. Set in the year 2390, you set out on a series of clandestine missions into Helghan territory to investigate rumors of dangerous biotech weapons and other classified intel.
In the game, you play as Kellan, a deadly Vektan Shadow Marshal who witnesses the death of his father at the hands of the Helghan and dedicates his life to overcoming the enemy. With a massive wall constructed two keep the Vekta and Helghan citizens separated, a cold war brews between the two nations as they refuse to let the violence of the past die. Following the destruction of the Helghast homeworld, the remaining survivors travel to planet Vekta, creating a bustling city called New Helghan. Killzone Shadow Fall is set 30 years after the events of Killzone 3 and continues the story of the conflict between two civilizations, the Helghast and the Vekta.
